April 30, 2010. Congratulations to CTFD Firefighter, Graham Stokes. Effective April 1, 2010 Stokes takes on the roll of Senior Firefighter. Also a paramedic with the department, Stokes will be responsible for the training and development of probationary members.
April 6, 2010. Congratulations CTFD Firefighter/EMT-I, Ben McGee Kenyon '10. Ben received the "Unsung Hero" award at the Kenyon College 2009-2010 Student Leadership Recognition and Awards Ceremony.
April 2, 2010. CTFD firefighters oversee the prescribed burn at the Kenyon College Brown Family Environmental Center.

The prescribed burn is an annual event to promote the regeneration of the prairie at the environmental center. Probationary firefighters got some first hand experience of just how quickly a wildland grass fire can spread.
March 31, 2010 Combined EMS & fire runs for March - 16. Total Runs year-to-date - 73.
March 28, 2010. CTFD sent Engine 451, Engine 452 and Tanker 452 to the large fire downtown Fredericktown. Additional units manned stations 451 and 452 to provide EMS coverage in the county if needed. Link to Mount Vernon News photographs of the Fredericktown Fire.
March 16, 2010. CTFD Firefighters train by playing dodge ball in full PPE and on air.
March 6, 2010. CTFD provides mutual aid to Mount Vernon FD for house fire. CTFD responded with an engine company to this Avalon Road fire. Link to Mount Vernon News article.
March 1, 2010. February brought challenges with heavy snowfall that kept the department busy. CTFD provided mutual aid to EKJFD three times for fires. CTFD also used Medflight to transport a critical patient by helicopter.
